Is The Book of Tomorrow (by Cecelia Ahern) appropriate for young children?

My little sister's birthday is coming up and she has requested this book. She's 12, so not really a young child, but she herself asked that I preview the book before she reads it. I was just wondering what it contains as far as bad language or steamy love scenes. I don't think my sister is offended by violence so that's not such an issue. It's mainly just "adult behaviour" that's a concern.
