What to do after i took out a blackhead?

Heres the scoop, ther was this huge blackhead, then i saw that it was ready to come out, i steamed my face fo about 7 minutes( didn't have the patience to sit there) :) and then i took it out, i don't want to go to gruesome into it, but basically its out, theres like a crater there, i slapped some neosporin on it, now what do i do to prevent the scarring and ugliness.
