Should I wait for him to talk to me?

Me and this guy were good friends for several years. He ceased communicating for the most part late last year. When I sent a notification to everyone on my contact list to use my alternate address (because I'm disconnecting my Internet), he responded (two days later): "It's me. I've know I've been incognito, but you're not forgotten." When I asked him how he was, there was no response, so I then sent another message later that said, "I'm only going to be online once a week at the library. Hope to talk to you again soon. Stay cool." So far no response to that, either. I'm thinking of playing it cool and letting him initiate conversation if he wants to. If not, I'm thinking that's his loss.
