How have you handled the poor economy and what financial hit has it had on you?

How can we overcome them? My husband lost his mortgage business and now we're losing are home. He's in a depression. He's about to lose his car. Thank goodness my job is secure although not enough to pay the mortgage. I'm getting a modest rental for us and keeping food on the table but its stressful. My husband refuses medication and to seek help and is "wallowing in the mire" so to speak. He's setting a bad example for our kid. He just complains. He was offered a job with a modest salary but said he didn't feel like doing that. He is working another real estate commission only job but as you can imagine, not much commission coming in. What's your story and how are you coping?
