Max sentence 5yr to serve or $10,000 fine if not guilty plea is not excepted. what would no-lo plea look like?

$3,500 worth of checks written on closed acoount 10 years ago. Picked on warrent last week. has a wife and 3 kids and is only means of support in the house. would no-lo be a better choice? what would they offer? a few years suspended + a few years probation, and restitution? HELP!
