WHy are the republican controlled states going bankrupt?

I know this from experience. I live in Georgia run by "Dough Boy" Sonny Perdue and his cabal of republican controlled legislature who have bankrupted our State and now State employees have to be furloughed and laid off, including teachers. AND I would wager that if you looked at the other republican controlled states you will find a similar story.
